The Town of Easton is accepting applications for a qualified individual to fill the position of Council on Aging Driver, full time, 40 hours per week. Minimum Qualifications: High School Education, six months experience operating a passenger van; possession of a valid Class D Driver’s License; driving experience in all weather conditions, experience in working with elderly or disabled persons desirable; certification/training in CPR, First Aid and passenger assistance techniques; or any combination of education and experience. The successful candidate must provide proof of an acceptable driving record and have the ability to obtain a Department of Transportation Medical Card as part of the required pre-employment physical.

Duties include but are not limited to providing transportation for elderly and disabled citizens; assisting passengers in getting in and out of vehicles; operates a wheelchair lift; assists passengers with bags/bundles; communications with Dispatcher to arrange most efficient pick/up drop off order; makes phone calls to passengers as necessary; completes daily log sheets; inspects vehicles daily and reports malfunctions and/or damage to vehicles.

This is a Non Union position, with a starting rate of pay $19.675 per hour, ($40,924.00) annually based on a 40 hour work week) and excellent benefits.
