Tabitha Goggins (left), age 91 and Josephine Worrell, age 97, both of Roxbury were honored at the Action for Boston Community Development (ABCD) Foster Grandparent Luncheon on Oct. 8, for their work with disadvantaged children. Josephine volunteers five days a week at Children’s Hospital Boston, caring for at-risk infants, Tabitha has volunteered at the Hennigan School in Jamaica Plain for the last 13 years. Anna Hobson-Pilot, the first African American harpist for the Boston Symphony Orchestra was honored by the BSO at its opening night performance. Pilot retired this summer after 40 years with the orchestra and will continue to play concerts at Symphony Hall and New York’s Carnegie Hall.
